Community Ecological Park in the Heart of Ganot Moshav.

Community Ecological Park in the Heart of Ganot Moshav.

In a unique and community-based collaboration, an ecological park is being established in the heart of Ganot Moshav, covering an area of 12 dunams. It will serve the local residents and promote the preservation of local nature. The project was planned in conjunction with the moshav committee, and during its construction, families and the community actively participate.
In line with the values of the association, the park serves as a platform for the reintroduction of local species into their natural habitats and restores the ecological diversity that characterized the area in the past. Among the unique areas within the park, one can find a winter pool surrounded by wetland habitats, a blooming meadow, Mediterranean scrub, and diverse Israeli vegetation that we all love.Every Friday, volunteers from the association come together with residents of Ganot for activities of planting, replanting, and collaborative work, aiming to turn the vision into reality. The uniqueness of the project lies in the deep involvement of the community, which leads the park's establishment and maintains it as a special community nature site. The park is established in memory of Captain Rom Shlomi, a resident of the moshav, who fell in battle during the liberation of the Gaza Division on October 7th.
